Everything you need to know for Current Ops

White Pass is open for daily operation as of Sunday, December 21st. We are planning for daily operation, running 8:45 am until 4 pm, conditions permitting.

Please take note of our important water system update below and plan to bring a water bottle from home. (see below)

Mountain Conditions: There's snow in the forecast, which is great news. Be advised, we will have limited terrain open, and you can expect early season conditions with exposed rocks and other obstacles. Obey all closures and ride with care.

Anticipated Lifts:

Great White, Far East, Big Carpet, Basin Quad. 4 The Birds (Yes, we finally chose a name for the new Chair 4 Quad) Couloir Express is TBD

Open Terrain:

Parks:

Prog Park open with 6 features.

Lift Tickets:
Lift ticket sales for all future dates will be available beginning Sunday, December 21st at 2 pm. This helps protect the on-mountain experience and prioritizes our valued season pass holders.

Nordic:

The Nordic Center is not quite ready, but they will have the retail yurt open so you can do some holiday shopping or pick up your season pass! Rich & the crew will continue to update us regarding their op’s plan.

Power:

Our friends at Benton REA are working around the clock to get power restored to the ski area. We wanted to let you know that it is out for now, but you know the drill, we are able to operate on our back-up power systems.

Tubing:

Not operating quite yet. Watch the website for updates.

Food Service:

We are planning for regular operations at High Camp. In the base area, you can expect the usual fare with pizza, burgers, fries, chicken strips etc. We have created a menu and implemented procedures in compliance with health department regulations while we address the water system issue. NOTE: Breakfast will not be served; lunch will begin at 10 am.

Important Planning Note – Water System Update

As a result of recent flooding, a routine water test failed. No illnesses have been reported.

General Manager Rikki Cooper noted, “White Pass conducts regular water testing, and this is the first time we have experienced a result like this. Based on current conditions, it appears that significant rainfall, ground saturation, and flooding caused this temporary issue. We are taking appropriate precautions and expect to return to normal operations soon. As always, guest and staff safety is our top priority, and we are working with both Lewis County and Washington State Departments of Health to address this anomaly.”

As a precaution, and until testing confirms the absence of bacteria, the following measures are in effect at White Pass Ski Area:

• The ski area will provide potable drinking water for guests and staff.

• Food service and operations will follow approved safety protocols.

• This announcement addresses all base area water systems; High Camp runs on a separate system and has no issues. Expect regular early season operation at High Camp.

Further updates will be provided once the water system is fully restored and has passed all required testing.
