What's new this season?
TERRAIN BASED LEARNING (TBL)
It’s no secret that White Pass creates great skiers and snowboarders. We are partnering with Snow Operating to utilize their manmade terrain feature designs to accelerate the learning process. Their learning area designs build confidence and promote fun in a safe yet exciting environment.
ADDITIONAL SEATING
We enclosed the patio area under the bar deck on the Day Lodge to add an additional 640 square feet of heated indoor seating space. With large windows and doors on both sides and three roll up garage doors facing the slopes, this space will be a great addition for all types of weather.
SNOW MAKING
To help provide adequate snow coverage when natural snowpack may be lacking, we acquired new high tech snow making guns that will be permanently mounted on the east side of the Poma Face and other key locations. Plan for early season coverage in the base area this winter! Our long term snow making goal is top to bottom coverage.
New in the years to come!
CHAIR 4 REPLACEMENT
After the ‘24/’25 Season, we plan to begin the process of installing a fixed grip Dopplemayr Quad that will replace Chair 4, which will be up and running for the ‘25/26’ Season! The new chair will feature a loading carpet and the chairs will have comfort bars. You may see parts of the new chair located in Lot C this winter and we ask you (or your children) to kindly refrain from climbing them (for your safety and to eliminate possible damage that may delay installation). And yes, the old chairs will be auctioned to help raise funds for our youth programs.
LEARNING CENTER AND LODGE
With a growing number of snow sport enthusiasts enjoying the slopes of White Pass, we are meeting the need for additional indoor space by developing a "Beginner Lodge" that will be located near Lot C. The Lodge will primarily serve customers who are new to snow sports and will also be open to all customers looking to start their day in that location. It will offer Rentals, Lessons and Food/Beverage Services. This location provides easy parking-to-slope access and with the addition of Terrain Based Learning, this area will be a one stop shop for beginning customers.
This project is still in the planning phase and we are mindful that it will affect RV parking and Tubing. Don’t worry, we are working on solutions, not deletions. This image is a design concept showcasing the approximate location of the new building.
These current projects are new and exciting for the upcoming seasons, but we also have more projects in the works for the years to come. When we move into planning phases and have solidified direction, we will periodically share information on this page! We look forward to sharing our ideas and plans!
