U16 Alpine Race Team

The U16 Alpine Race Team is designed for advanced skiers who are committed to enhancing their skills and competing at a high level. With a full weekend schedule of training and races, this program is ideal for athletes who have moved up through the junior ranks or for any youth skier who is performing at an advanced level. Whether your goal is to improve technique, increase speed, or reach new competitive heights, the U16 Alpine Race Team offers the guidance and support you need to achieve your ski racing dreams.

Program Overview:

  • Full-time or Weekend Training: The U16 team trains every Saturday, Sunday, and select holidays, from 8:30 am to 3:00/3:30 pm, offering a full day of focused training. Full-time training runs Thursday - Sunday and holidays. Athletes will sharpen their racing technique, work on overall skiing proficiency, and push their limits in a variety of conditions and terrains. Training includes a blend of gate training, directed free skiing, and race preparation designed to get athletes competition ready.

Who Can Join:

  • Advanced Skiers: While many participants come up through the lower levels of the junior race program, any youth skier who is confident on advanced terrain and displays a strong racing aptitude is welcome to join. Our goal is to challenge all athletes while fostering an environment that supports growth, fun, and competition.

Key Features:

  • Focused Skill Development: Athletes will work on all aspects of racing, from refining technical elements such as carving, balance, and gate techniques to improving race-day strategy and mental preparation. The program emphasizes well-rounded skill development, ensuring each skier becomes faster, stronger, and more confident on the mountain.

  • Experienced Coaching: Our highly experienced coaching team offers personalized instruction tailored to each skier's abilities and goals. Whether you're fine-tuning your line in the gates or pushing your speed on open terrain, our coaches will help you take your skiing to the next level.

  • Season-Long Training: The full-time program kicks off on Thursday, December 12th for full-time athletes and December 14 for weekend-only athletes and runs through the entire competition season.

Race & Training Schedule:

  • Races: The U16 team will compete in a series of hand-picked races.

  • Training: Training sessions focus on a mix of gate drills, tactical skiing, and dynamic free skiing across all terrains. Each weekend, athletes will experience comprehensive training that pushes them to improve both technically and competitively.

Program Tuition:

$2800 - weekends / $3900 - full-time
