Get ready to take your skiing to the next level with the White Pass Buddy Werner Alpine Racing Team! This exciting program is designed for young skiers eager to improve their skills through directed free skiing, gate training, and competition. Whether you're passionate about racing or simply want to sharpen your skiing abilities in a dynamic and supportive environment, the Buddy Werner Team offers a perfect blend of training, fun, and challenge.

What to Expect:

  • Focused Skill Development: Through a combination of free skiing and gate training, you'll develop better technique, control, and speed on a variety of terrain. Our expert coaches will work with you to refine your turns, enhance balance, and help you master both groomed runs and race courses.

  • Weekend Training Sessions: Starting on December 14th, we hit the slopes every weekend for a full day of skiing. Buddies meet at 8:30 am above the blockhouse and ski until 3:00 pm, with a one-hour break for lunch at 11:30 am. Each session is carefully structured to maximize skill development, alternating between directed free skiing and focused gate drills.

  • Race Experience: You’ll get the chance to compete in 4-5 races across the Pacific Northwest Division of US Ski & Snowbaord's Western zone throughout the season. These races provide valuable experience, allowing you to put your skills to the test in a friendly, competitive environment while building confidence and camaraderie with your teammates.

Key Components:

  • Directed Free Skiing: Explore varied terrain and improve your overall skiing technique under the watchful eye of our skilled coaches. Free skiing helps you develop versatility and confidence all over the mountain.

  • Gate Training: Hone your skills in slalom and giant slalom courses. We'll focus on carving clean lines, improving your timing, and getting comfortable in the gates, so you can race with precision and speed.

  • Competition: Racing isn’t just about winning—it’s about personal improvement, teamwork, and having fun! Our races in the PNSA zone give you the opportunity to showcase your progress, learn from the experience, and bond with your teammates.
