White Pass Snowboard Team
Coach - Ben Smith
Ages: 9 - 18
Ability Level: Intermediate through expert. Athletes should be able to link turns on blue runs, go down black-diamond terrain with reasonable confidence and control and be mature enough to take direction from coaches.
Whether your goal is standing on a podium or simply becoming the strongest rider on the mountain, the White Pass Snowboard Team provides expert coaching, personalized progression, and an incredible team environment for motivated snowboarders.
Designed for riders ages 9–18, this Saturday-only program combines elite skill development with the flexibility to pursue your own path. Riders can focus on competition preparation, park progression, freeride performance, all-mountain mastery, or simply becoming a more confident and versatile snowboarder. Making riding more fun and skills they can use for a lifetime.
What to Expect:
Whole Mountain Skill Development: Snowboard Team athletes learn to ride the entire mountain. Athletes will develop skills in steeps, powder, trees, moguls, terrain parks, jumps, rails, and technical all-mountain riding with experienced coaches.
Terrain Park & Airbag Progression: Park progression sessions tailored to your goals — bigger jumps, cleaner rails, confident steep lines, and all-mountain versatility. On the Airbag - learn and refine new tricks in a controlled environment before taking them to snow.
Free Riding & Powder Days: Freeriding is a big part of the program, giving riders the chance to explore the mountain, find natural features, and put their skills into practice with teammates and coaches. And when White Pass gets a fresh dump? We're chasing powder turns and deep stashes.
Key Components:
Personalized Progression Pathways: Whether you're preparing for competitions or riding for the love of progression, coaching is tailored to your individual goals and abilities.
